Singular and Plural Nouns

Singular nouns name one person, place, thing, or idea. Plural nouns name more than one person, place, thing, or idea. Most of the time, you can add ~s to the noun to make it plural. Depending on the spelling of the singular noun, you may have to add ~es or ~ies. There are irregular plural nouns that do not follow the spelling rules.
