Demonstrative Pronouns
Demonstrative pronouns are the following words: this, that, these, those. They’re very similar to demonstrative adjectives because they “demonstrate”, indicate, or show which specific noun you are referring to. However, the difference is that demonstrative pronouns act as PRONOUNS, replacing the nouns instead of modifying them. Therefore, you should use demonstrative pronouns on their own rather than before a noun.
This: Use for singular nouns that are near you.
These: Use for plural nouns that are near you.
That: Use for singular nouns that are distant from you.
Those: Use for plural nouns that are distant from you.
