Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Countable nouns are nouns that can be separated and counted. Uncountable nouns are substances, abstract nouns, or masses that cannot be counted individually. Typically, liquids, gases, powders, and concepts cannot be countable.
For example, water cannot be separated and counted. It is considered uncountable.
To make uncountable nouns countable, add a quantifier to show the specific amount. For example, you can say “cup of water”.
